Australia offers incredible opportunities for international students. Here are the top reasons why Indian students choose Australia as their number one study abroad destination:
An Australian education is on par with the best in the world, with courses and curricula that blend practical learning, critical thinking and competencies with current relevance. Over 40 Australian Universities consistently rank among the top universities in the world, according to the QS World rankings.
Among all the developed countries, Australia has the most welcoming immigration policy. In a bid to boost the economy, the Australian Government plans to increase permanent immigration intake from the previous years, with a focus on prioritising skilled professionals. Students who study in Australia will be able to broaden their perspectives on life, and can immerse themselves in the rich cultures and traditions of this beautiful country.
Compared to other study destinations, student visas for Australia are easy to obtain. Students can also work during their period of study, and there are plenty of internships that will give them valuable work experience as well as extra funds. These part-time work opportunities will prove useful for students to offset some of their living costs. Additionally, students who are thinking of immigration can also get extra points on their PR application at a later date, if they have studied at an Australian educational institute.
Australian study programs at undergraduate level are for 3 years only, as compared to similar programs in the US and Canada. Fees are, therefore, much more affordable, making this a preferred route for many cash-strapped students. What’s more, the cost of living in Australia is lower than in the UK and USA, making it a budget-friendly choice. Students can also avail of merit-cum-means scholarships that are offered by the Government and educational institutions, and can help make life easier for those with a funding crunch.
Students can explore flexible pathways that help them connect the dots between where they are to where they want to be, in the shortest possible time. They can get credit for their current levels of learning, and undertake courses that will help them work toward their preferred specialty. Hybrid programs and partnership courses are designed to help students save money, even as they develop the core skills and qualifications required to work abroad.
Aside from your studies, living in Australia is great in all aspects. You can explore its unique and abundant natural wildlife and landscapes, multicultural communities, and renowned liveable cities with plenty of events and cultural activities to enjoy.
Australian society is made up of people from a rich variety of cultural, linguistic, and religious backgrounds. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have inhabited Australia for tens of thousands of years, and other Australians are immigrants or the descendants of immigrants who arrived within the past two hundred years.
You’ll have the option to pick from one of our campuses in Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth – cities that are globally renowned for their liveability. Melbourne is known for its culture and exciting array of events and places to visit, as well as its unpredictable weather. Sydney is Australia’s oldest city, great for beaches and impressive buildings. In Perth you’ll also have great beaches and many open spaces to relax and enjoy the constant sunny weather.
How to attract, recruit and maintain a dedicated skilled and loyal workforce in the health sector (Aged Care)
This seminar is based on research from a recent royal commission report into the aged care sector and a workforce strategy that followed. The strategy outlined a number of skill gaps across the aged care sector, including a significant lack of management & leadership knowledge and skills. This was identified across all levels of staff, including management and supervisors. Based on the workforce strategy, I have put together an educational seminar. The seminar includes a lot of practical ideas and ‘How To’ methods. The purpose of the seminar is to develop and build knowledge and skills of people working across the aged care sector.
