Infection control standards in different job roles across Australia has been impacted by COVID 19. This short course will provide specialized training for individuals to respond in an appropriate manner to reduce or minimise the risk and transmission of communicable diseases such as COVID-19.
A set of skills to follow organisational infection prevention and control policies and procedures, including implementing standard and transmission-based precautions and responding to infection risks in the workplace.

The theory component is provided through Blended mode delivery. This short course will be delivered and assessed over 30 hours which will include online theory, self-paced structured e-learning, simulation based training and work-based training / professional experience placement (PEP).
People who are currently working in a health service such as hospitals, aged and community care centres, medical centres and surgeries etc.
This module is also available to members of the public who work in hospitality,transport and customer service roles.
Basic computer skills are required to utilise IHNA’s Online learning resources. Students must have access to a computer and internet to complete this blended training.

Achievement of this unit of competency provides credit towards qualifications in a range of training packages where infection control skills are required.
HLTSS00065 Infection Control Skill Set (Retail) unit can be used as an “upskilling” product for those with existing qualifications or be used as stand-alone training for those currently in the workforce without a qualification, however, it should be trained in the context of the learner’s job role.

IHNA reserves the right to cancel/reschedule the intake if sufficient enrolment numbers are not there for the intake.
In the event of a cancellation or reschedule, full fee paid by the student will be refunded or the student can attend the rescheduled session.
Student can cancel the enrolment three days before the course start date and the full fee paid by the student will be refunded.
Fee is not refundable if the student withdraws from the course within two days of the course start date.
That is if the course is starting on 24th of the month, the student can cancel the course till 21st with full fee refund. Cancellations happening on 22nd and 23rd will not be eligible for fee refund.
